I appreciate your interest in the Access FIT blog and I absolutely encourage you to leave comments. For one thing it lets me know that somebody’s listening (contrary to popular belief I do not enjoy the sound of my own voice).
For another, it encourages broader thinking, more robust intellectual inquiry and ultimately superior solutions for your business.
Finally, I don’t expect that what I have to say will be the final word on any matter. I already know what I know. I am interested in your views, experiences, insights and contributions.
In the immortal words of Jerry McGuire ‘Help me, help you’.
This blog is moderated so to make it perfectly clear what I consider to be proper conduct here is what you need to know to participate effectively:
1. It goes without saying (but I’ll say it anyway) that I will delete your comment if it appears to be spam – I will consider it spam if, in it’s entirety, it is irrelevant, off topic or blatantly promoting a commercial product or service without contributing to the post.
2. Please pay me the courtesy of staying on topic – if you have a burning desire to discuss another issue e-mail me and I’ll consider addressing it in a subsequent post if it is appropriate.
3. I encourage a robust exchange of ideas. You need not agree with me, or others commenting on this blog, I will never delete a comment on the basis that it is a dissenting view so feel free to play devils advocate – but be respectful, be constructive and (to use a sporting metaphor) play the ball and not the person.
4. Please consider your audience – make your point quickly and concisely (ideally in less then 200 words) using paragraphs as necessary. Do not use profanity, indulge in personal attacks or otherwise bring the blog into disrepute.
5. It may take a little while for me to post your comment – so if you are satisfied that you have met the guidelines presented here have confidence that it will be posted as soon as I am able. Please do not resubmit your comments if it does not appear immediately.
6. Please provide a valid, working e-mail address (it will not appear with your comment). I will never spam you or disclose your e-mail address to any third party.
7. I allow signatures in comments as long as they are accompanied by a relevant contribution that adds value to the post.
8. Feel free to link in your comment provided that the link is relevant, on topic and adds value to the post. Please double check your links because if they are irrelevant, inappropriate or nonfunctional they will be removed.
9. Please do consider identifying yourself (don’t just be anonymous). I like to know who I’m dealing with and I am less likely to interact with anonymous commenters unless the comment is truly compelling or profound.
10. I reserve the right to edit comments to meet the guidelines presented here however I will make every effort to maintain the integrity of the comment.
I may change this comment policy from time to time as circumstances dictate so please check back occasionally.
